Two-stage N2O
Two-stage N2O
Hey all, I've read through these threads, and I'm looking for anyone with experience with 2-stage nitrous kits.
The car is a 96 Z28 with a 4.5lb Powerdyne S/C, full exhaust, but mostly stock internals, top and bottom. I want to run a 150 shot, I was wondering if it would make sense to get a two stage system... First stage at 50hp and follwed by the second stage 100hp shot.
I'm curious to know if anyone else has done this with a smallish shot. I know it's done with other cars for traction purposes, I'd just like to do it to reduce stress on the internals.
Also, can I still incorporate a WOT switch, or will I have to control it manually? I mean, step on the go-fast pedal, then let the computer stage it for me?

Re: Two-stage N2O
I've ran a two stage system at 100/100, 100/150, and 150/150 with two nozzles in the air box.
There are countless ways to activate the stages though. I used a WOT microswitch on my 1 stage, and a momentary switch (on my shifter) for the second stage. Some people use a TPS eletronic switch and rpm window switches to activate/deactivate the systems (this sounds like what you are refering to in your post). Others use timers, and I've heard of people using speed sensors too.
