tpi nitrous

i want to put a NOS tpi plate system on my engine . it a plate that sits right behind the throttle body.

anyway i also have a aftermarket chip that does advance ignition timing and a 190 thermostat to help prevent detonation so my question. with spray and the advanced timing with it cause engine dedtonation and if it will what should i do?

Put your stock chip back in, or turn down your inital timing to 0* and start from there reading the plugs and listening for detonation.

For what it's worth, I had GREAT success using an LT1 Wet kit from Nitrous Express on my 305 TPI engine. I plumbed the single "Shark" nozzle IN the MAF sensor behind the hot wire aimed at the engine. I ran the 75 shot jets and my 15.60 running iroc then ran 14.20's with an 8 mph gain I was very impressed.

That same engine now has a Holley 600 Carb and Edel. Intake and SLP headers. I converted my LT1 wet kit to use a Carb. plate from Nitrous Express and used the 100HP jets. It ran 13.30's. Now I have run 2 bottles through the system using the 150hp jets and it screams!! Easily a 12.80 car. Goodluck man. Don't skimp on buying safety items like a Fuel pressure safety switch, colder heat ranged spark plugs, 93+ octane gas, and a full throttle switch. Goodluck and have fun!

Also, I would honestly think that if the engine runs great with the chip, and it does not knock at all...It should be perfectly fine running 2-4 degrees of less total timing and a 100 shot. right? anyone? anyone?

you read a spark plug by its condition white is lean, black is rich, white with little black or grey spots is bad,(detonation)

i had a aftermarket chip in mine so i went to the dealer and bought the stock chip and put it in (60$)
