When i rebuilt the engine i was unsure if i would run nitrous or not. well i ended up putting nitrous on the car, a 150 shot. when i rebuilt the car i used the Fel-Pro Head Gasket 9966PT and from what i have been reading there are a lot of people who run the 1076 fel pro. i have found some MINOR traces of a blown head gasket as i took off the intake today. I will be removing the heads tomorrow so i will keep you posted. last time at the track i had a dead miss on my last sprayed run so im thinking ive got a blown gasket.

Blew #8 cyl to water jacket. I ran an 11.5 on 7cyl. coulda had a 11.1 or 11.0. damn.

 

I just pulled the heads off a motor that had the 1076 felpro gaskets.... all I can say is damn those things are tough. This thing had oil all over the thing it was leaking from everywhere even the vlv seals where pushed out from boost and when I pulled the heads off they looked brand new!! Im also pretty sure at some point he ran the bottle on it as it still had the bottle mount and lines installed.

That is the extent though of my knowledge of these gaskets, My friend swears by them but I have never rebuilt an LT1 yet. I do however believe on this build it will have them

 

my engine builder has been using them for 30 years for a reason.
