Stock LT1's with a 100-150 shot
Re: Stock LT1's with a 100-150 shot
I have a 118k mile A4 car and am going to spray a 150 wet shot this season. Racetronix fuel pump, NGK TR-6's, 110 octane when spraying.
The can does not burn or leak a drop of oil, so I am not worried about it.
With what I have now at least mid 12's on street tires. If I get this cam, long tubes, and port everything like I want.... who knows

Re: Stock LT1's with a 100-150 shot
the guy i bought my WS6 from had a Nitrous Works plate system on spraying a 125 shot with a WOT switch, no other safety things and he beat a 12.5 LS1 on the street, however it was from a roll because my car used to have 2.73s so he didnt wana launch it.lol. i think a 100 shot with the normal safety features will be very safe and a huge difference in performance. BTW my car has 97k, and i was planning on doing a 100 shot on my 93 Z when it had 120k on it.
Re: Stock LT1's with a 100-150 shot
I've got full bolt-on's and an LT$ hot cam with 162k+ miles on my stock bottom end running a 150 shot. When I had a 125, i ran 12.1 @ 118 on bald Nitto's and a slipping clutch.
As long as the motor's been taken care of, I don't see why you should have a problem with a 150 shot. Just make sure you have fuel. I didn't pull any timing out on the 12.1 run either. The motor is a lot stronger than you'd think, just don't do anything stupid with it.

I've been running a 125 shot on my '93 formula for a year with no proeblems. The bottle sits right behind my seat, so it does get some use.
I'm jetting it up to a 175 next week. 155,000 on the clock.

Re: Stock LT1's with a 100-150 shot
im glad to hear about all of the higher mileage lt1's running the spray. This is going to be my first season running nitrous and i plan to work my way up to 125. (colder plugs, retarded timing, race gas - still not sure if a racetronic fuel pump is in my future or not.)
Re: Stock LT1's with a 100-150 shot
Go wet or go home. I was spraying a 150 shot on my 105,000 mile Bird and I beat a 13.0 car on the street by about 3 car lengths. I never got any official times on the juice but I estimate with some slicks and a good run I could have been around 12.5 - 12.4.
Make sure you get some plugs, fuel pump, FPSS, and a window switch if you want to be safe.
