spraying stock bottom end cc306=death?
I guess since im gonna do it anway my question is how fast will this thing sling a rod with say a 100 shot wet nos with a rebuilt stock bottom and a cc306? (max 6400 rpm) I saw a crazy turbo stock lt1 somwere that was unbelievable for stock bottom so im thinking it will take it for a while.

As long as you buy a quality system with all the needed accessories you will be able to injoy it time and time again. How many Miles are on the motor.
If there are alot it really comes down to knowing how well it was taken care of.Do a compression test on it.If all is well spray it.

I spray a 150 wet shot with LE3 heads and 306 with out any problems, previously to the heads and cam I put made 4 bottles through the stock motor and no problems. Just be care and take care of the motor.
Re: spraying stock bottom end cc306=death?
I always take good care of my motors because i beat them ocasionaly. It has 0 miles as of now it had 40k before the rebuild. Of course im gonna get 3000k miles on it before i spray it. Dont the stock pistons melt or anything though??
Re: spraying stock bottom end cc306=death?
If you rev the motor high 6700-6900 and hit the 150 you may run into problems. The rods may go and for the pistons, they will not melt but, you could put a few holes in them.
Re: spraying stock bottom end cc306=death?
lol no kidding ...i dont plan on hitting it @ 6900 and even if i did the farthest a obd1 computer can rev is 7500 witch yes could mean a slung rod. But im betting i would run into some serious valve float before 7500.
Re: spraying stock bottom end cc306=death?
im thinkin about mayb the same thing as 92rslt1...but the cc306 needs to be revved to like 6500-6700 i thought to reach best times on a stock 346 ci??? i have an a4 and i dont wanna rev to 6700 but i have a fresh bottom end too...all stock but fresh...i yall think 6700 is safe or how high should i go with a cc306 for best time???
thanks

The best way to see where you HP and torque curvs are is to put it on a dyno.If your horse power starts to drop off at lets say 5200 there is no reason to twist the motor any higher than that. You want top shift at where your HP starts to quite making HP.
