If it will hook, spray in outa the hole.
If not, get slicks and do it anyway.

I spray 150 outa the hole.

run nitto drags and your tires will break loose before an axle breaks ( only on the street ). Et streets and drags will break an axle on the street though

That's why you build up the drivetrain before you just start randomly throwing power at it. A car that hooks on the street will be deadly.

Using the money for more go fast parts instead of paying for a flatbed ride home is reason enough for me.

I typically have the 2-step set to ~4500 to launch (depending on if the track will hold it). Nothin' quite like a 4k+ RPM clutch dump on ET Drags with the nitrous activating when the 2-step disengages. With a new diff 6k luanch is on the way.

So you were spraying out of the hole in that video on CPT's website, bottom of the CPT Cars page, you can hear some tire spin, what would it do with stickier tires?

BTW, nice car it was neat watching that video and seeing an RX7 then hear the LT1 roar.

That's me!
There's not really a hole lot of tire spin, it sounds worse than it is, it's more of a real light wheel hop. We shall soon see exactly what it will do with stickier tires. The stock mazda rear ends seem to be holding up quite well.

which one, I guess I need to go and look, but I thought there were a few fast cam only cars there... Most of those guys are on this board so I am sure you can ask them about their setup...

OK just went back and looked at the page and the one that i think your refering to is Projectz28, on here but rading that and knowing Brian a little I know he went lower then the 11.91... and Ben Bryant (94 TA TT2S) went 11.92 with a cc305 and more then likely a lot of bolt-on's...

We have a customer that ran 11.77 w/bolt-ons, and a 150 shot only.

You would be amazed at the times you can get spraying out of the hole rather than waiting.

this one : BEN BRYANT '94 Trans Am
CAM ONLY LT1 "CC305"
CPT "RACE" 4L60E
11.92 @ 113 MPH

what else does he do to get a cc305 into the 11's?? i didn't think that cam could run 11's. the stall must be way up there. any information would be appreciated.

this one also: BRIAN HARTLEY '96 Z28
STOCK BOTTOM END & HEADS / CC305
CPT "RACE" 4L60E
11.91 @ 114 MPH
*UPDATE* Brian went 11.81 the first time out in '05
with our transmission!

these CPT transmissions must be magic!!
