Special converter needs for N20?

I'm currently looking into a Midwest 3200 RPM stall with a 2.2 STR (10" converter). I would probably make a maximum of 10 nitrous passes per year with the converter. On their order form it says if you use forced induction or nitrous then it'll be an extra $100 to upgrade it to handle the power. I would like some input from the converter + N20 guys to see if you had anything special done to the converter to accomodate for the N20. Do you think I would really need the upgrade? The reason I ask is because money is very tight, school starting back, not gonna be able to do anything besides odd-jobs. So $100 would take a while to get. Thanks for all input.

Brian.

unless you launch your car with the n2o on, the upgrade is not necessary. IMO

if you do lauch your car with n2o, the rear end should be your main concern

They probably install an anti-ballooning plate. As mentioned, if your hitting the dope out the hole I'd get it upgraded.
