should i use or should i leave alone?

i got a 67 camaro with a 327. Teh compression is 10.5:1, ported heads, weland intake, holly 650cfm double pumper, MSD ignition, and so on.

if i use spray for a few times at the track and MAYBE a few other times, will it really hurt my motor?
i was thinking about a 100-150 shot.
thx all

As long as you use safety add-ons like a fuel pressure safety switch, full throttle switch and rpm window switch you will not have any problems. I ran a 125 shot on my stock motor without issue.

The only kits I would stay away from is NOS. I have heard of alot of their solenoids locking up (and some locking open!!) from people on this board. Nitrous Express comes highly recommended. Contact Nitro Dave at the Nitrous Outlet (1-866-648-7637) or www.nitrousoutlet.com and he can set you up.

We carry many affordable good carb plate systems. Let me know when you are ready and I will help you pick what best fits your needs.

Along with the usual safety features mentioned, Running double solonoids on the nitrous side can't ever hurt.......It doubles your chance that the Nitrous solonoid "wont" ever stick open, matter a fact Iv'e "NEVER" even heard of one sticking open while running double solonoids....They would both have to fail at the exact same time, what are the chances of that.........Iv'e been running a NOS brand set-up like this since 96 on the solonoids that came with the kit....no problems

Re: should i use or should i leave alone?

what kind of intake mann. is your weiand? open plenum or dual plenum? some intakes, especially older ones, have distribution problems. as in, the nitrous comes in at the top/middle of the intake under the carb, and each intake tract is a little different shaped. some longer, some shorter, some have sharp turns. anyways, long story short, some cylinders can get more nitrous then other cylinders so if its a dual plenum (esp. an older intake) you should stay on the conservative side. Id say around 100-125hp. Im sure dave can tell ya allabout what your gonna have to change on the motor. sp. plugs, timing, and so on. since you already have an MSD, you should be a retard box for it. it will automatically retard the timing when the nitrous is activated. I have an NOS setup on my Iroc (carbed engine) and had no problems. but I believe daves solenoids are lifetime warranty and he seems like a good guy, so thats who Im recomending too. when I get around to installing the nitrous on my 95 stroker, Im goin through him also for all my support peices (Im running a 250 shot hopefully next year). gotta bief up the drivetrain first though.
I'll always love the musclecars too.
later

Re: should i use or should i leave alone?

you should be fine with premium, but a splash of turbo blue would be good insurance. since you have no 02 sensors worry about.
