Retard timming? Best way?
I assume the best way would be with an ignition box. With the new motor and amount of timming I'm running due to program, I don't want to run a shot without some timming pulled. Motor in sig. I've got a nitrous works wet kit. Anyway, what is the best way to pull timming? MSD, crane, what? I want to do it with the least amount of cash.

I've got the window switch already. I just need a cheap effective means to retard timming once the n2o system is activated. I really don't want to spend over 200 dollars on something that should be so simple.

It IS simple.
You have the motor.
You have the spray.
You NEED a better ignition anyway.
SO...buy the digital 6 and be done with it.

There is a better ignition out there. Buy the Mallory VI part # 685. It has the following features:
2 stage rev limiter
window switch
timing retard - 0-10 degrees
start retart
All the items are fully adjustable via push buttons and digital display on the top of the ignition. Rev limiters and window switch will work from 1K to 12K RPM.
$219.99 at summitracing.com
I have one and it rocks! With a stock stall converter I couldn't use the staging rev limiter in the digital 6 because it starts too high.
Here's pics of the adjustments:

Let me rephrase that.
I already have have MSD wires, which Mallory coil do I need to buy for my 95 LT1? Does it have to be Mallory, can I use an Accel or MSD or Crane "equivlent" coil?
