Remote Opener Question

Anybody know if I can use a regular switch for this or does it have to be a momentary switch? Im prolly going to buy this panel and it only has 1 momentary switch that im going to use for the purge

Re: Remote Opener Question

It needs to be momentary, but not just any switch will do...it's very similar to a power window switch. It reverses the polarity of both wires so that it will open and close. You'd need a DPDT momentary with 2 directions. Unless that panel has a special button for it, it won't work. The remote opener should come with the switch.
