Relays...

Where can I find some relays to use with the nitrous system. I'm assuming that the way I'm going to wire the safety switches and arming switch is all in line with one another so if one switch isnt activated the system won't work. I guess im planning on running the FPSS, window switch, WOT switch, and an arming switch. Planning on running up to a 250 shot with the built 355 using the NOS Sportsman Fogger system.

Re: Relays...

And yes, wiring them all in series is the easiest and correct way.

Re: Relays...

You should be able to find relays at Radio Shack, O'REilly's,
Autozone.

Another customer is spawned!

Great store with awesome prices. Radioshack sells bosch relays for ~6.19 around here . For future reference, you will definitely want to load up on heat shrink, wiring, switches, and loom when you order.

Ryan, so you work for these guys???

I work in the car audio department at Circuit City, and after I bought the stuff, my boss was like, "You should have just asked me, we could have ordered the stuff for you." They get supplies even cheaper than PE. But none the less, when I need something fast, they definately do a good job.

Re: Relays...

How can I tell if the relay that I got with my NX kit is bad? Also if it is bad where can I get another? Radio Shack? will they have the same kind?

If you have 12volts on the red wire and the white wire is grounded you should here a momentary click when power is applied. Take it away again a click. That will tell if the coil and arm are working.
Now get a test light. With 12volt on the black wire, apply 12volts to your red and the green wire should see the light.
Basicly wire it up and if clicks and the noids click you are good.
Hope this helps.

@ Tim.

After I re-read my post I sure do sound like free advertising. An EE friend of mine pointed out that this was a "dangerous" store for him. Luckily here in Houston I have a couple different electronis parts specialty stores (beisdes radio shack) where I can go and find exactly what I need. Most of the time that is worth the markup (mainly regarding switches, diodes, LEDs, etc). However, I usually buy a half dozen relays and a few feet of looming and wire whenever I make a purchase there. My next shipment is due in here on Monday .

Good luck!

Re: Relays...

Scott, that would be excellent. I did all the wiring yesterday and only ended up using two relays. However, I would like to get your diagram to cross-reference with and make sure I did everything correct. You can email it to me at racertim@zoominternet.net. Thanks man!
