Question about Nitrous

I have been offered a complete Nitrous setup from a 93 Z28 that was hardly used for $250. Having never really been into Nitrous or never worked with it, I have no idea what kind it is or if it will work but $250 seemed like a good deal.

Will it work on my 96 Z?
It has a sprayer or whatever it is called in the intake elbow just before the Throttle body. Does this mean anything?

Thanks
John

if it was on a 93,it will work on a 96.
Sounds like it has the nozzle (aka sprayer) which is an extremely common setup.
I would make sure everything works before venturing into a used nitrous system, and read this section for as much as you can.

Exclamation

Here are a few things I would look for:

Is it a Wet or Dry kit?
What size is the bottle?
Does it come with bottle mounts?
Does it come with all the braded cables?
-From the bottle to the nitrous solenoid (about 15')
-From the Nitrous solenoid to the fogger (about 3')
-From Schrader (sp) valve to Fuel solenoid (about 2') Wet Kit Only
-From Fuel solenoid to fogger (about 3') Wet Kit Only
How many solenoids does it come with?
-Only 1 = Dry kit
-2 could be Wet kit
-2 or more wet kit with a purge or remote bottle opener
What kind of Jets are included, if any?
Does it include any switches or relays?

Over all $250 for just a dry kit isn't a bad deal even if the kit only included a 10lbs bottle braded cables, solenoid and fogger.

The more you can get out of the deal the better
