which plugs do i use for nitrous, i knew the answer to this a long time ago, but i decided not to go with nitrous and now i forgot...right now im running NGK TR55, which plugs do i have to use for nitrous in my 97 z28 with a stock engine?

I like the NGK TR6's and that's what I use. However, a friend of mine uses Autolite 104's running a 175 shot and really seems to like them. Either one would work good.

 

If you can't find the NGK's you can go with AC delco R43LTS. I just put them in my car this weekend and they seem to work great. Plus they are only $1.49/ea.

I've ran both of them (NGK / Autolite#104) and they seem to work fine on the bottle, or just regular driving. The only problem I had with NGKs' were that if you need a replacement plug, it was hard to pick up at any local part store. With autolite's I just went into any part store, even wallmart carry them for .99 cents.

I like the Autolite 103s with my 150 shot. They are 2 steps colder than stock ....the 104s would be one step colder. The NGK TR6s are only a 1/2 step colder than the TR55s.

 

can going to many steps colder hurt anything.....

 

My car ran better with the 103's NA over the 104's only thing it can do is foul the plug if it dosn't get hot enogth to burn off the carbon.

I would go with either an Autolite 103/104. As said before, they're much cheaper and if you need a replacement, they're also much easier to find. Most parts chains don't carry NGK plugs.

 

I am a BIG fan of the TR6's..... i have been using them for 3 years....

friggin burn the strap off the mothers and still firing with no miss.......
