Post NX Digital Contoller

Anyone have any experience with the NX controller? I am wondering how the car reacts with it, how much n2o your using and what the lifespan of the solenoids was/is after using a controller...

a friend that runs a 200 shot has used a controller for a year and has had no problems. I was going to get one or run the speed pro dual stage program. If i upgraded to speed density.

I have the Maximizer, love it..im running a 150 shot......thats the only reason im pulling the et and 60's that i am (at least thats my opinion). The car is a LOT more controllable and predictable. My solenoids lasted a year.but i had some issues with settings after it was in the shop.and it progressed for the entire 1/4 mile quite a few times.

Ive been sraying a 100 shot for 6mo with no problems. Depending on how you program it the car reacts as you would expect. Ex. start of the line with a 40 shot with a 3sec rise to 100 yeilds a steady increase in power with minimal wheelspin and clutch slippage. With a manual tranny you can set the reset rise to increase the initial shot by 20 with each shift with the same rise to max power. You have to play with it awhile to get your car dialed in. Once its dialed in you have that program saved. You can store 4 different programs. I have one for drag strip and one for rolling Its a neat little deal and is easy to program.

If you decide to go with it I can send you pics of my install. Mine is in the glovebox with a long enough harness to pull it out and program it. The harness also has a weather pack plug so I can remove the unit and bypass it with a bypass adapter. I can also use the unit one more than 1 car this wat too

thanks for the info, racin, do you have a NX nitrous system and did they replace the solenoids for you with no hassle?

Also, I would like pictures of the way you set it up in the glove box and any info on which weather pack connector you used, good idea by the way.

Jim,i havent had a chance to send the old 1's back. Middle of race season and i wanted to go fast now (you know how it is),so i will send the spent 1's back when i get around to it.
Plus im a lil happier having a second set of solenoids.for backup,or a 2nd stage if i get brave.

Im not suggesting that you use the controller in lue of suspension mods....I did all that before even considering nitrous(LCAs,Torque arm, subframe con.,disconnect front sway, yada yada yada)....but if your going to spray 100+ shot out of the hole and drop the clutch at 3500+ rpms also be prepared to replace broken drive train parts if you hook consistantly. The controller is going to help you get down the track and keep your drive train in one piece. All that said,I do agree that the suspension should come first...before any power adder.
