NX Accessory switch panel + 97+ center console = the goodness!
My NX switch panel arrived today, after waiting over a month for it.
I have a 97+ center console in the car. That little pocket in front of the shifter (traction control is there for Firebirds equipped w/ it.
First, I pull the plastic holder out, and toss the switches in....ahh, a bit loose. Then I play w/ the pocket, which was too small, even after some hacking.
Solution: wrap the switches (the part you don't see when installed) about 20 times around w/ electrical tape. Made it big enough to fit in there snugly. Re-wire everything, and damn, it almost looks factory in there.
My only complain is that the activation and bottle heater are built into one switch, and you can't activate the bottle heater while the system is armed. I'm gonna add a small relay that will activate the bottle heater when the system is armed; should be pretty easy.
The arming light and heater light on the switch are pretty sweet too. The purge and bottle opener switches were, well, switches, but at least they are pretty.

I got the NX switch panel in the 94 Z ashtray area . it looks TOIGHT !! TOIGHT LIKE A TOIGER !!!
pretty sealth with the ashtray closed and looks like factory switches with ashtray open ..
i like ur electrical tape idea .. my switches are all loose .. i'll snap some pics of my setup soon
