NOS fuel psi saftey switch
NOS fuel psi saftey switch
just wanted to know if any one has a favored fuel psi saftey switch that they would recomend for a dry system is there any body that makes one that wont complete a circuit until the psi is up to around 70 the nos one i have seems to be bad and it hasn't been used that many times
Re: NOS fuel psi saftey switch
When I was running my NOS dry kit, I used the NEX 15718 Fuel pressure safety switch that was adjustable up to 60 PSI....there may be others available now that go even higher, but I couldn't find any at the time.......also, if your running an NOS set up with the TWO nitrous solenoids hooked together in series that has the blue regulator inbetween.......make sure you wire the fuel pressure safety switch to the SECOND nitrous solenoid(not the first) ....since the first nitrous solenoid in line needs to "always" open for you to get the slipstream of additional pressure from the blue NOS regualtor, to the engines factory regulator, thus increasing your fuel pressure bringing your FPSS into play.........Joe

Re: NOS fuel psi saftey switch
The 50psi switch that comes with the NOS dry kits can be adjusted up or down around 15-20psi. So you might be able to get the one you have to go to 70psi if you want. Just take the rubber plug out of the top and turn the allen sgrew clockwise until you get to the pressure you want.
Re: NOS fuel psi saftey switch
Yes i know the switch is adjustable but the one I have is bad already so I was looking for another brand that might last a little longer Thanks though
Re: NOS fuel psi saftey switch
Its just a Hobbs switch as far as I know most any switch you get will be from the same supplier. I haven't heard of them going bad that often. Some times they would come and not be set to the right pressure and need to be adjusted to fit a certain application. And if they have been adjusted at some point they can be more prone to changing. When they set them at the factory they do something to the threads to help keep them at that setting. Or at least they used to that may have changed. Anyway hope you can find one that works for you
