Nos

Is NOS safe for LT1's. My friend has a 93' Ford Thunderbird Supercoupe and he was going to get NOS just so that he can beat me in the 1/4 mile. My funds are limited due to college costs. What do you guys suggest doing for now. I have a 95' Lt1 with 54k the only mods I have is CAI, !cat, and magnaflow muffler. I have the 2:73 gears. The best run i have gotten is 14.149 at 100.48 mph. Thanks for the help.

For the love of God, don't say nos

NOS is a brand. Call it nitrous or N20.

Anyway, is the car an auto or a manual? Do some gears and save up for headers. A cutout is a good bang for the buck mod as well.

If I were you I would get rid of those gears you have, and then get some headers. If you pick up the headers used you could have both mods for about the price of nitrous. This way you can stay NA and still beat your buddies thunderbird.

"Nos" is Brand of Holley is just as good as any other nitrious system. I belive thier Wet kit uses a plate that sits directly behind the TB or something like that. However NX does offer more options. THe key to a good nitrious system is to always remmebr to double clutch and never granny shift. Also after installign the system make sure your floor pan (if you have one) is bolted on properly.
