Nitrous Works
Nitrous Works
I've been looking into getting a NX wet kit soon. But then I just saw in the new summit a new EFI kit by nitrous works for $448. I was wondering if anyone uses nitrous works and have had any problems?
I have a Nitrous Works set-up on my 97 T/A except I'm using the "pro" solenoids which are not the ones that come with that kit but you can buy them on Barry Grants web site. So far I'm pretty impressed & I'm gonna dyno the car in the next two weeks so I can let you know how it goes.
The Nitrous Works kit isnt new. I had 1 on my Trans Am and it worked OK,but could be a better design. With that kit and a 125 shot i was happy, but got even happier when i swapped to NX and picked up 3/10's with the same jets.
The plate uses a bar for fuel and 1 for nitrous.
Each "1/2" of the bar only has 2 holes per bar. Bad design IMO,should have more holes for better atomization.
The old NOS tpi plate had roughly 16holes per bar per side, much better setup.

I don't have the "plate" kit for my LT1 it is basically the same as the NX kit with the single nozzle, and I really like the new design of their nozzle its the same one they using in the NMCA this year.
I've had great succes with my plate kit but I agree I feel a little uncomfortable with how few holes are in the bar. The distrubution would be much better if it had more holes, I guess I'll have to try the nozzle setup.
Yeh thats basically the kit that I'm using except I have different solenoids and a different nozzle.
Hey stik6shift93 all hard feelings aside if ya wanna keep the Nitrous Works set-up on you're car I can get ya just the new nozzle & you can try it, actually I think there is a few of them at my shop let me know if you're interested?

I was thinking about that kit as well. Scoggins-Dickey Parts Center sells them for $439.00 last time I checked. The Nitrous Works LS1 kit is the same as the Universal EFI kit in that they both use the PowerWing nozzle and are both wet kits, except the LS1 kit goes from 75-125 hp vs. 25-100hp for the Universal kit. Anyways, Horsepower TV on TNN did an LS1 kit install and jetted it for 100hp and got 80hp increase at the wheels on an '01 SS; not bad for the price.
