which nitrous set up is recommended for the set i'm running

i have a 94z bored .30 over with stock crank, pmi powder metal rods, srp forged pistons, le2 head and cam package with long tube headers. current rwhp at 379-looking to increase hp. looking for the best and safest nitrous set up. i did search and read several threads but i'm not sure if i should go with dual spray or direct and what range is safe...150-200 shot? i currently have 3:42 gears and will be rebuilding the rear any ideas what ratio set up is good with a nitrous set up? oh currenty have #36 injectors and stock fuel pump. no ignition box.

IMO go with a dual nozzle wet kit, with the fuel pressure safety switch, bottle heater, purge, and window switch for the kit itself. With the upgraded injectors and now the nitrous you will want to get a bigger racetronix pump, and also an ignition box. The mallory 685 box can act as ur window switch and can retard the timing for when you are spraying.

You should be okay on a 200 shot as long as the tune is good along with fuel delivery. You could go the direct port route or dual/single nozzle set up. You are local to us, let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,
Matt

I don't know nitrous like some of these guys but I would say with a 200 shot the stock rear might not be up to the stress.

As for what setup, with only a 150-200 shot in mind I think a direct port system might be a bit of overkill.

Just my $.02 though, take it for what it's worth.

Re: which nitrous set up is recommended for the set i'm running

I have the dual nozzle kit, it is a good system and it looks cool with a pair of nozzles plumbed into the intake tube, but the one thing I don't like about it is that it can only be adjusted in 50 shot increments ie: 50-100-150-200 The single nozzle kit allows 25 shot increments which would have probably been a little more suitable for my needs. But considering the amount you want to spray, a single or dual nozzle setup will be more then adequate. If you ever plan on going over a 200 shot, then I would consider doing a direct port setup to avoid any distribution problems.
