Nitrous ring gap

Anyone know where I should set my ring gap on my new motor? Stock bottom end, and it will be seeing a 100-125 shot occasionally. I have heard go a little bigger than what the factory reccomends for nitrous/FI applications, but not sure if it matters that much with such a small shot.

I would keep it right at stock ring gap. The stock Mahle pistons and the new Mahle rings should work well with a 100-125hp nitrous shot. (and good tune-up).

if you have a 4.00" bore then the top ring should be .020"-.022" and the bottom ring .022"-.024" that is for street nitrous.

of course that's dependent upon the piston brand and ring brand and how far the 1st ring it down from the top of the piston.

for your stock piston and stock ring, I think it will be .016" top and .020" 2nd as is. But the small nitrous hits should not require a wider gap. Wider is safer though.
