There are no gains in a colder than needed plug. but if thats the correct heat range and you have been using a hotter plug than there are gains. what shot?

We use 7's on 150-200 shot
8's on 200 -250
9's 250-300
10's 300+

But we have found ET heads like 1 step colder and stock and AFR like the above. this all considering a well built health hp motor(450+). less motor hp and it may move down a step.

But you need to look at your plugs to see if there the right heat range.

put a brand new one in make a hit cut the car off going threw the traps pull it out cut the treads off so you can see the fuel ring and read a few plug reading articles. it will help( even on small shots)

I run those on my turbo setup, so far driving on them has showed that they don't foul out nearly as bad as I thought they would, haven't fouled one yet.

I am sorry to jump in but I am running a 383 LT1 with 12.8:1 compression and a direct port 200 shot. My TR6's turned slightly green so I am now putting in NGK BR7EF, what do you guys start your gap at? I believe they come at 25. I have a mallory hyfire cd ignition, mallory promaster coil and a msd opti.

thanks
