Nitrous Newbie

I have an NX kit sitting in my room right now but i dont want to install it till i have everything covered. I have two questions.
Is an ignition box really needed? I have been looking at the MSD digi 6 and the Mallory Hyfire V1 CD(MAA-685). I like the mallory because it has a built in window switch. So less to install. I just dont ever hear anyone using the mallory. So im not sure if its a better product then MSD.
With my NX kit ofcourse came the shark nozzle but im tempted to sell that and get the NX MAF plate. I have ram air so it would make it a cleaner install. The space between the MAF and TB is pretty small not sure if i can get the shark nozzle to fit in there properly. So has anyone used the plates? I did a search and didnt get but one post which didnt comment much about it.

Info on the two boxes
Go to MAA-685

Go to MSD 6520

Thanks
Omar

Re: Nitrous Newbie

The mallory box is very popular. i would of used it if i had planned on running a window switch (and if i did a lil more research before buying the digi6) the digi6 was a good unit, but the mallory has more and is less.

Not many have used the plates, but it will be a cleaner install, and you can fit the shark nozzle in there, but it does get tight.

Re: Nitrous Newbie

Well i can get a digi six for 200 to 215(used) shipped and i already have the plug n play dual connector, but then i would need a window switch which then will bring total cost to around 280. If i get the mallory which is 239 new i would like to find a connector for it. Do they make one for it? Im guessing its gonna cost atleast 30bucks for it so that brings the mallor to 270 after shipping and stuff. So the mallory still comes out cheaper. It also looks a bit smaller in size so easier to stuff it somewhere. Im thinking im just going to get the mallory. Hopefully more will chime in and give thier opinions.
THanks
Omar

Re: Nitrous Newbie

Im actually switching from a MSD 6AL to that exact Mallory box over the Winter. Looks like a great box. Im also in need of a window switch and wanted to upgrade my box anyway. Might as well get it all in one package.
