Question Nitrous HP Camshaft

Has anyone ever tried the Nitrous HP cams from Comp??? I'm planning on using this cam (NX284H-13) on my 383 stroker with a NX dual stage.. I'm staying hydraulic simply because I cannot afford the roller setup at this time.. The engine is a 10:1 383 forged pistons, rods, crank.... Any input would be appreciated!!!

I have the 274 grind Nitrous HP cam ready to be broken in this week if I can figure out some problems I'm seeing with Rocker Arm to valvespring retainer clearance problems... It should scream pretty good tho!

Never used that cam personally. I have been doing a lot of research on nitrous and it seems that a nitrous cammed motor will put out about 20 more horsepower than a motor with a camshaft optimized for n/a performance, however the nitrous motor will be down 40 horsepower n/a.

Plus dont N/A cams bleed off cyinder pressure better? So if you think you are pushing the limits of your block/rotating assembly it may be better to stick with the N/A cam.

Depending on the N/A camshaft yes. A tighter lobe separation will allow more nitrous to go out the exhaust and in turn lower cylinder pressure.
