Nitrous Help!!

I am setting up my fuel system on my car and hoping that some of you can help me. The car is not a camaro, its my Mustang. I have the NOS Cheater Kit for it(carb'd). I would like to do the 150 shot. I have a dedicated fuel system that consists of a Holley Red Fuel pump the free flows 7psi, 1 gallon fuel cell, 6AN line to the Fuel solenoid. I can't seem to get any help from any of the locals for spark plugs. The plugs that came in the car were some Bosch platinums, i cross referenced them to a regular Autolite 45 plug. So my first question is, what would i need? 1-2 steps colder?...and what plug number would that be? Next question is, Would it be safe to spray the 150 shot without pulling any timing out since I would be running race gas in the dedicated fuel system?

All help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Nitrous Help!!

NGK TR6 ( I step colder) would be fine on a 150 shot. You'll probably be fine with the timing at that power level with race gas. I would start with 4-6 degrees pulled and slowly work my way up.

TR6 will not work with my car. I have old DOOE 351 heads, so its a larger plug. I need to know what plug would be 1 step colder then the autolite 45.

That's weird, NGK says the TR55 works in your car. Since the TR6 is the same as the TR55 (except for one heat range colder), I thought that would work for you.

Maybe you could just send them an email and see what NGK has to say?

Matt

I wish it was!! All those listed are 14mm plugs, I believe mine is an 18mm...and it takes a 13/16" socket.

Thanks though.
