nitrous with a goodwrench 350?
nitrous with a goodwrench 350?
I'm buying a 12,000 mile Goodwrench 350 from a friend, gonna have vortec heads, but the internals are gonna stay the way they are....
Assuming I get the right cam, intake, carb, etc., should I be able to spray the motor withotu worrying about it? How much? Thanks

Re: nitrous with a goodwrench 350?
If you have an adequate fuel system, and adjust the timing accordingly, you could run 150 shot with no problems to a stock cast piston crate motor. Just remember to run colder plugs (NO PLATINUMS!!!!), and use good fuel....
My first motor was a goodwrench 350.... I ran 210 hp shot through it for 2 years and never broke it. I however don't recommend this... lol...
I actually pulled the engine, and sold the short block to a buddy for $200.... It's still runnin great...

On a side note, I can tell you the vortec heads like less total timing than a regular sbc casting. I've seen best results with around 30-31* on a flat top motor. Your dished pistons are going to have less than optimal flame travel so I'd say around 28*
or so would be a good starting point just on motor.
