I need to pick one up for my NX kit. Do I have to get an NX filter? Can someone show what the filters look like. I purchased one, but my friend who was going to install said that doesn't look like a filter for NX kit.

 

I'm sure you can find a pic of a nitrous filter on Summit's site, or maybe some of the other online vendors. It's just a small in-line fitting that you put in the main nitrous line before your nitrous solenoid. Other than making sure you have the various fittings right to connect the line to the filter, and the filter to the solenoid, there's no magic to NX making a filter vs anyone else.

Nitrous filter is something he could look up. Well I will hit summit's page.

 

I dont even use the filter, just poke the screen out.

 

Curious... how long does the filter last?

 

NX offers a lifetime filter.It comes with a 7inch 4-an line and metal housing.Its a heavy duty filter. The filter is a nice safety precaution.The big bottles people fill out of is bad about having rust and trash in them.It only takes a spec of trash the size of a grain of salt to trash a solinoid.There should be a picture of one on nitrous outlets web site.I think they are aroun 40 dollars but well worth it.

 

the new NX noids have built in filters, they have a screen in the inlets.................... THey don't include the stand alone filters anymore with their kits.
