nitrous in the burnout box ... ???

I’ve just finished wiring my new nitrous system and think I may have made a mistake. I didn’t want the toggle switch in the interior for the master arming of the system so I just mounted it under the hood. I’ll have to open the bottle in the trunk anyway before a run so I thought flipping a switch under the hood would be easier/cleaner than having wires coming into the car. Now I’m questioning what will happen during the burnout since the system will be active then. I do have a WOT switch to activate everything and a RPM window is set up from 3000 – 5500. Will the nitrous come on in the burnout box and if it does, will it hurt anything? May be a good way to purge the system … ??? Thanks.

you wont be at WOT thruout the burnout, it'll only turn on at the initial punch to start the spinning

Not a good idea IMO. Very easy way to mess up and blow the motor.

that is how I do it.

i do my burnouts in 2nd gear, and right as I start to roll out of the burnout, I go WOT so the nitrous comes on.. it usually delays for a second, then it comes on and I lift.. its how I purge it. (both fuel and nitrous are purged this way).

That is how a lot of my friends do it, no need to buy a purge kit and nobody knows .
