nitros on a TPI MAF w/ a custom chip that advanced my timming

I have a 89 IROC TPI. MAF. I have a custom chip installed for mods. and it also advanced my timming for more hp. A Vennom nitros dealer on ebay told me that their kit a 100 shot w/ a computer monitor setup. a plug and play kit would work fine on my car. I thought you have to retard timming for nitros. My car has advanced timming. is this guy know what he is talking about. are there kits that will work with custom chips that have advanced timming?

If you have your timing advanced with a custom tune, you should have it pulled when spraying the nitrous.

I'm pretty sure you can just change you initial timing.....the chip just changes the curve and advances it, I would try to check the total advance with the chip then retard it until you get it down,

BTW good idea to check the total anyway...I had a chip one time and it was pull 52* total timing
