It should work on the LT1 also as we use the same MAF housing....

but the LT1 PCM cannot make the correct calculations for fuel enrichment...this is for the LSx platform only

Don't both PCMs adjust fuel by the MAF reading? How else do people use a dry kit on an LT1? They both adjust according to atmosphere forced through the MAF. I can't see how one would work and the other not.

Dry kits on the LT1 spray after the MAF...they will pull vaccuum on the fuel pressure regulator which spikes the fuel pressure. The LT1 PCM is totally different than the LS1s.

The LT1 cannot make the needed calculations either accurate or fast enough to reliably run a dry kit through the MAF.

LT1 dry kits are after the MAF? Meaning between the MAF and TB not the filter and MAF? That's news to me. I have always sprayed my dry nitrous kits through the MAF not after it. How the hell else will the car know there is anything besides what the MAF is reading going into the car? Wouldn't it lean out and destroy the motor if you did it after the MAF on an LT1? Am I missing some other piece in the electrical system that reads the atmosphere in the intake system?

you are missing the fact the a LT1 Dry kit is pulling vaccuum on the fuel pressure regulator...therefore increaseing the fuel pressure, which in turn will spray more fuel at a given duty cycle.

This is assuming you are using a dry kit that is designed for the LT1

I am not saying you can't spray through the MAF, I am saying it is not the best way to do it on the LTx platform.

I definitely seem to lack the education on the fuel system on my car. Regardless if it pulls vacuum on the FPR it still gets the readings for the AFR from the MAF correct? By spraying through the MAF and allowing the PCM to adjust the fuel trims I may be going about it wrong? Is there a better way to spray a dry kit on an LT1? I thought on EFI with a MAF you just needed a Nitrous solenoid and the proper jet sprayed through the MAF and let the PCM correct for fuel. Please educate me because I'm about to spray this car and I don't want to blow it up.

here is a link to the instruction manual for the NOS LT1 Dry system.

dont spray nitrous through the MAF on a LT1. the LT1 dry kit introduces the fuel by putting extra pressure on the FPR. the LS1 fuel system and the LT1 fuel systems are totaly differant. if your spraying before the maf on a lt1 id be moving your nosle in a hurry.

I did this on a previous LT1 without issues.... sprayed 100 shot through the MAF for about 30 bottles and never had one problem.

What year did you do this on?.....And did you verify A/F ratio?

I am not saying it can't be done, it just isn't the way they are meant to be used.

97... Just like the one I have now. I'm sure it's more accurate to have the fuel pumped with the vacuum on the FPR. My AFR was not ideal but it was decent. If I'm doing it wrong I don't want to repeat that on this car.

dont we only have a 2 bar map on our LT1's? im prety sure our maf wont compensate for the nitrous on its own, remind me to never buy a car from ya your A/F ratio will read ok but your just choking out your motor, i dont know how you where spraying a 100 shot and not stalling the motor.

AFR is read on the o2 so it has to be accurate enough for the 100 shot. I still don't see why the MAF would be able to adjust for normal operation but not for a little giggle juice.
