Need Advice!

I'm about to get the NOS 5177 kit and runnin about 100-125 shot with the mods in my sig. Do i need to update anything (fuel pump, etc) or can the stock fuel pump, etc. handle 100-125 shot.

Re: Need Advice!

I would add a fuel pump, and depending on how much you spray, larger fuel injectors (and a new tune for them). If you're thinking of a 125 shot or higher you might want to consider a wet kit. We're have a 15% off dry kits and 10% off wet kits now. If you have any other questions let us know.

Re: Need Advice!

Honestly, the highest i'll probably go is 100 shot. How do you add a fuel pump? Also do i really need new injectors for 100 shot?

Also how much $ would a fuel pump cost and how hard is it to install? Sorry for the ignorance, i'm learnin!!

Re: Need Advice!

Do you know what your RWHP is? You're right on the borderline for the larger injectors.

I would look at a Racetronix fuel system. They are pretty easy to install, and you have two ways of doing it. One is to drop the tank (harder way). The other is to cut a hole through the body above the gas tank. Then you can just pull the pump up. It's not as bad as it sounds, a lot of guys don't like to hear about cutting up there cars. There are a few good resources on the internet for doing it that way.

Re: Need Advice!

So if i went with a wet kit would i have to change all of that?? I really would like to avoid having to either pull my gas tank off or cut a hole in my car. Thanks for the replys.

I'm around 400rwhp right now.

Re: Need Advice!

You would not need the injectors (or tune) with the wet kit. People have been successful with your mods spraying a 100 shot, just as other people have not. I would do a fuel pump if it was my car. Another idea might be to install a wet kit and spray it on a dyno for the first time. Watch your A/F with the wideband while watching the fuel pressure. That should give you a pretty good idea. A fuel pressure saftey switch would help too.
