N2O : driveline limits

What is the maximum output that a stock 4l60e will support without harm ? I have read that the horsepower rating doesn't hurt them but it's the torque that does. I am a bit scared since I am going with nitrous and I was wondering where I should put my barriers on a stock car before even installing it. I know I will need colder plugs like the TR6 and window switch. But I was wondering about the stress added on the tranny and how well will it handle it. I got the 2.73 gears also, if that makes any difference or not. I wonder how much that rear end can take also ?

the rear end breaks due to shock more then power.

as far as the trans goes,i had a built trans in mine for 2 season with a 150 shot, and after about 2 months of a 175 with my Pro Yank Extreme 3800,the output shaft cracked and broke. i have pics of it in the drivetrain forum. car was NEVER dyno'd,so cant say what numbers killed it.

Have you done anything else to the car other then the 150 shot before you killed it ?

Ran about 3 bottles through mine, all 100 shots except for 1 or 2 150 shots. Transmission just went out a week ago. It had been rebuilt by a generic shop about 30k miles ago, though (didn't own the car at the time). Looking forward to getting it open and seeing what kind of parts they had in it.
