I'm sorry but that single sentence should say enough. Nitrous Oxide is an Awesome way to make some serious HP w/ minimal cash outlay, but the truth is, if you can't afford to fix it if it breaks, I wouldn't recommend you do it. This goes the same (even moreso actually) for Supercharging or Turbocharging.

Not trying to discourage ya, but maybe try some smaller things, that will better what you have. Get the gears the 3.73 gears you mention wanting in your sig, and possibly a Torque converter, and the car will work great, with minimal reliability worries.

Good luck!

I agree 100% with Kurtis.

Nitrous is great...but you have to expect the worse...anything can happen. if i were you,i wouldnt risk it untill i knew i could afford to rebuild just in case.....

I'd say to get all the safety equipement and spray a 100 shot, but do it on the dyno first so you can tune it and let it run a little rich. It will probably be fine, probably being the key word. You just have to be smart about it and be careful. If i were you i'd be sprayin

im scared crapless too that im gonna screw something up...
i have been sitting on 100k for a while...i contiplated what to do..
stroker? naw way to much...heads/cam? wont make the motor last any longer...and its hella expensive and install is a bit**..

so then comes n20...not running on the car at all times when u are driving it, like a cam/heads...

i personally drive the car ONLY in the summer being that im at school for the whole yr and even in the summer i'll be working and summer classes, thus making nitrous only being used at the few times i hit the track...

Im doing all the safety equip...ie: intake pump, best ignition: digital 6, and the other basics, window switch etc...
i'm also NOT buying a USED kit...make sure my solinoids are brand new...actually everything im buying is brand new...i dont wanna take any chances...and its fairly cheap to install...with the help of BRAD-Flyin Ta

so its up to you, but i did all the bolt-ons/suspension already, so i suggest u do that FIRST,then see where u stand...You'll see on
the board-do a search about MANY peeps doing a 100 shot with over 100k and being ok..hell, many do 150shots...

good luck

isnt the head/cam combo is a lot better than N2O and blower, because it is all motor power, and i believe it is the safest way to go with head/cam combo, with all the bolt-ons there is possible

yea its better, but it wont make your engine last any longer...its still gonna wear/tear the engine like anything else, but at a greater rate...

if u have the money for heads/cam and enough to install it with all the other parts you'll need...timin chain, electric water pump, gaskets etc..

THEN u mind as well not worry about the "115k" and stroker the car or do a 355...cause that'll be very camparable in price...thats me though

sorry dude, but "ur" probably out of sense if you spray a high-mileage engine. save your cash and build a motor that can handle it.

128,xxx and a 100 shot soon. From what I have read there are more than a few on the bottle with high milage engines.

97k and 100-125 shot. Got the computer scanned last week and the engine is fine except for the left O2 sensor reading a little slow and a tiny vacuum leak (prolly from mounting the shark nozzle in the elbow)

I will add i had a 91 Trans Am with a 144k mile 305.....sprayed it with a 125 shot. That car was a beater,12.3x with the 125 shot, through the cats/stock manifolds....just gutted the thing under the hood,it was a project car that got sold.

If it blew,it wasnt a big deal.
