N20 question(direct port Vs regular)
Say you add a 100 shot wet or dry kit to for lt1. Doesn't the front two cylinders get the most n20 compared to the rest of the cylinders? How much more n20 do the front 2 cylinders get on a 100 shot? 25%, 10%, 50% over the other cylinders?
How much of a shot does each cylinder get if you spray a 100 shot? 12.5%(100/8)?? How much n20 can a stock block cylinder handle before it can blow? If I spray a 250 shot, does each cylinder consume 31.25% of it?? So then I could effectively do a direct port with 30hpjets in each cylinder?
What are the biggest jets that one could go with using direct port on a stock bottom end? I'm doing it for the amusement to see how quick & fast I can go with a stock bottom end and the stock rear.

That really doesn't help me figure out how much n20 the front cylinders receive compared to the rear cylinders. If the front cylinders are getting like a 40 shot and the rear are only getting a 5 shot, then I can spray a 35shot in each cylinder using a direct port system.
Since the days of TPI, SPFI the air flows pretty well into all cylinders. It would follow that so would the atomized fuel and N20 of a wet nitrous system. The fogger is good till about 200 shot. After that I'd go direct port, it's more costly harder to change your jetting cuz you got more to do but it will be better for larger shots.
With a stock bottom end and rear, you ain't gonna hold the power with street tires or DR's with a 200shot. You'll need almost full slicks and then on a 3-4K launch the rear will shatter. There are people that have gone 200 on a stock LS1 system (I don't know anyone that has tried it on an LT1 personally).So are you planning long term or short term? And hope you have the money set aside for a rebuild soon. Your pistons will hate you.
IMO you are crazy to go over 150, but I think the limit is 200 if your gonna do it and that would equate to 25 per cylinder.

XKNIGHTRIDER is correct. all cylinders are gonna get the same amount of air/fuel/n2o. thats what intake runners on the manifold are for. the DP is just more efficient and more consistant, or so they say.
as far as the shot, ive seen a guy run a 200 shot on a stock LT1. he normally ran a 100 shot, and one day at the track decided to see what would happen with 200 jets. he made a few passes and then put the 100s back in when he left. you could do it a few times but i wouldnt normally run that large of a shot on a stock bottom end. i think 150 is prolly the normal limit for most stock bottom'd LS1s & LT1s. they make several different grades of "nozzles" which are all rated differently. you could very well use a nozzle for a 200+shot.

well, i guess that depends on who you talk to. plenty of my friends have blow their stuff up. in fact, recently, a friend blew the #7 and 6 pistons away from a n2o experience gone bad. maybe just me, but ive never heard that
