A little background.....All this weekend UPS has been to my house almost everyday. Everday I came home from work I had a package waiting for me. I got some packages I expected, some I didn't and then didn't get some I was waiting for. I worked on it a little every night and finally got to a good stopping point tonight. Here are pics of the progress....



I made this switch panel a few months ago. Never had anything wired to it though. I have a few more switches than I need, but before I always seemed like I ran out of switches, so this time I just put as many could fit. And yes, the push button start does work and it will still start using the key.



I mounted my ignition box to the front of my driver side rear seat delete a few weeks ago. I like it back there because it does not get hot and I can easily adjust my timing retard from the inside of the car. It is a Mallory 685 with window switch, timing retard, and even a two step.



One of the first things I finished tonight. I got all my gauges mounted and hooked up. The top is a Dynotune Digital Fuel Pressure gauge which is awesome. It is by far one of the most accurate gauges I have ever had. The last two fuel pressure gauges I had all read around 30PSI at WOT when this one reads exactly the same as an analog gauge I had hooked to a fuel port. The middle gauge is a Dynotune Wideband A/F Ratio Gauge I have hooked to my LM-1 that is mounted in my back seat (more on that later). The bottom gauge is a Stewart Warner Digital Tach with Shift light. I really like the small compact design of this compared to a bulky 5" tach mounted on my dash. It has a playback feature and also shift light brightness intensity settings.



The almighty LM-1. I got this from a friend that sold it too me CHEAP. All I had to do was buy a gauge to mount in the a pillar and then hook it up. He used it twice and I have 150 bucks invested in it INCLUDING the gauge. I like it because I can data log up to 45 seconds with it and even have live readouts on my laptop.



The Laptop. Tonight I mentioned to my dad how much easier it would be to program the A/F ratio gauge with a laptop and he was like, "well I have a spare one at the office you can have and I'm sure it will work." I was expecting some early 90's dinosaur that had a black and white screen. Instead I got a Dell Latitude D600 with wireless internet, DVD/CD burner, and it was pretty much brand new. Now I have something to tune the car with and look at **** with from the comfort of my own bedroom. I am typing this thread from my bed as we speak. Yes, it is cool, it is the interweb.

Now, the pride and joy. I posted pics of the painted bottles a few weeks ago, but here they are in all their glory!!!





Now when I had first thought of buying the rear seat deletes this what my plan from the beginnning. At first I just thought of painted the bottles black but instead decided on doing some custom work to them. They are mounted on 860 performance bottle heater/brackets. They only thing missing from this is the blowdown tubes. I am missing 4 fittings and then I will be able to make them and get them on.

 

This is going to be my Sunday project. Some stuff got mixed up during shipping so I won't have the 3.5" Chrome Moly DS until Tuesday but I am going to get it painted and in the car on Sunday. Tomorrow I am going to start wiring the Nitrous kit since that isn't done yet, but I really can't do much because my Nitrous Outlet TPS switch with dual channel window switch and 1st gear lockout won't be here until Tuesday either. I might DL the instructions and at least get all the wires ran so I can spend only about an hour to hook it up and throw the driveshaft in. I'm hoping to have it all done by Thursday night with at least 250 miles on the rear. I can do the other 250 on the way up to KC.

Can't wait until next weekend!

 

Nice!!! I hope you have enough time to get things sorted out. Just one question though. WHERE'S YOUR ROLL BAR? Plus all the other safety equipment.

 

Very nice. I love the bottle paintjobs and how they are setup. The switch panel looks very good as well. Be sure to post some underhood pics when you are done.

 

HAHA yeah I'm probably gonna need it. I will wait for them to kick me off the track first. Then I'll worry about a roll bar and whatnot!

Oh for sure man, I will be doing a little wiring today and then doing the S60 install and the rest of the wiring tomorrow. Like I said, I am still waiting on the blow down tube fittings, TPS switch, and driveshaft. EVERYTHING should be done by Tuesday night.

 

Damn, i pulled my back seats out last week to start my dual nitrous bottle set-up and a rear seat delete, you beat me to it! Looks AWESOME!

 

Looks great!! Clean install. How long did it take to get the S60. I ordered one about 4 weeks ago.

 

Your gauge pod, is that the one that you attach to the a-pillar or is it the one that IS the a-pillar and the pods?

Right at about 4 weeks. I got it installed already. It was cake! Went in like a stock rearend.

I didn't know they made one that WAS the a-pillar. Mine is just the one that attaches to the a pillar.

 

I've seen one that attaches AS the entire pillar before, don't remember where though
