My system: NX wet kit, MSD digital window switch, WOT switch. This exact setup has been working all summer.

I went to the track yesterday, turned on the bottle, cracked the switch etc etc....go to make my pass, and NO JUICE!!!!!

Ok sooo, me and a buddy open the hood, turn the power on, see that the MSD digital widow switch is working. I took the lines off of the nozzle so we could test the system. Start the car, rev it up to 2800 RPM (set window) and the switch clicked to the "ON" mode....so, I clicked the Micro switch and BAM nitrous and gas went flying out of the lines!!!

Ok soo....this means it should work when I race right??? WRONG....went to the track again...nothing. It did however feel like it hit right off of the line.....but ya, definitily didnt hit any time after that...ended up running 13.9 haha.

So again, we take all the junk off, rev the car up, see the switch go on, click the micro (wot) switch and BAM!! more juice and gas came out.

So at this point im pulling my hair out. Me and my buddy take the car to the highway to see if it would work there. Rolling start from 2000 I nailed it...and it should kick in at 2800 RPM....nothing. Shift into second and at like 4000 RPM the system sprayed for like half a milla second and then quit....

This is where I left it. I dont get it...everything worked great a month ago...so what the crap is going on now???

My ideas:
Loose power to the nitrous system, not the MSD switch
MSD switch is ****ed
N20 solonoid is buggered, however I took the car to 6000 rpm with the kit on and if the N20 noid was ****ed the gas would still be pumping (which makes the car bog)....but it never did that


So ya....im lost boys!!!

 

do you have a wot switch? if you do check the wiring on it to make sure the switch is wired to the normally closed ?

Make sure your throttle can close the micro switch, it might be out of adjustment..

Your fuel pressure could be dropping under load. If you have a fuel pressure safety switch, the system won't fire if your fuel pressure drops below your safety switch set point. In this case you either need a bigger fuel pump or lower the setting on your safety switch...I'd go with a bigger pump!

 

No FPSS on the system....

 

So bypass the window switch and try that.

 

Are you sure the WOT switch is engaging?

 

think your jets may be stopped up? and whats the psi in the bottle, even if it has "some" in it, it could be below pressure ect...

 

Bottle was right full. The WOT is engaging as we stabbed the throttle when the car was running to make sure it was making contact.

Im thinking its the window switch.....

 

i'm kicking this around in my head and really cant think of a reason for you system not to work. it sounds like everything is doing its job. the only thing my mind comes back to is either some goofy restriction in the line somewhere, either fuel or n2o. or the pressures not being where they should. too much or too little could couse strange things to happen. with all that said the last time i had a problem was just a bad connection on the wot switch. so if your confident in the bottle psi and the fuel psi, i would definitly recommend doing a thourough check of all connections from the switch to whatever else is in the circuit.

just another though someone else could field if they know. what is the odds of his nozzle freezing up, perhaps a humid night or something wierd.

 

You should check and see if the plunger in the No2 solenoid is swollen, Fuel vapor will cause it to swell shut. If that is not the problem you should wire up a by pass circuit so you can manually activate your nitrous, this way you can bypass ONE safety item at a time, try it with the WOT switch bypassed then hook up your WOT switch and bypass your window switch. Your problem should become apparent. Good luck!
