MSD 8969 with LS1 question
Re: MSD 8969 with LS1 question
I just put one in a 2000 Z, and its not reading the rpm correctly. at idle (800rpm) it reads 3200rpm while set on 1 cyl. if I set it to 4 cyl. it reads correctly all the way up to 3000rpm (didnt go higher cause its late and the cars loud) the white wire goes to the red conn. of the pcm in pin 10 white wire as per the directions, and I know white wires are for factory tach's, so I think its on the wire its supposed to be, I just think something is wrong with the windo switch and they have 4 cyl. and 1 cyl. mode switched internally in teh box. anyone else run into this? Im gonna call tech support as soon as I can get ahold of them.

Re: MSD 8969 with LS1 question
The window switch needs to be set in 4 cyl. mode. There is an error in the manual. All windows switches on a LSx engine need to be set in 4 cyl. mode.
