I connected my MSD box and go to crank it up and it does not fire. I check all my connections which isnt that many! Im using the GM wiring harness, red 2 red, black 2 black, orange 2 orange, white 2 white. Pulled the connector off the coil and connected the GM harness to it and connected what I pulled off the coil to the harness also.
Im grounded to the body of the car, thick red going to the battery

when I first made connection with the power cable I got a spark and also when I connected ground....NOW I DONT!...whats up?
MSD is closed.
Did I short out the box somehow? how would that be possible?

Im getting so freakin frustrated!!!!!

When I disconnect the MSD and put the connectors back to normal it fires right up.

you gotta be kidding me! after doing all that wiring and pulling wires to make it look clean. if thats the case Im pissed! I sure hope MSD replaces the box...

 

if they dont just buy one at Pep Boys and return the broken one. You may need to swap the serial #'s. Should be a sticker or something.

 

yeah Ive done that before at other stores!...shhhh?! LOL
I had to cut the ends off the wires cause I made them longer...I mounted the box inside the car.

I cant believe this crap!!!!!!
