LT4 set-up with N2O quetions??

Anyone run the LT-4 set-up (intake, heads-stage 2, cam, stock bottom end) and run N2O? I'm putting out close to 400 rwhp NA. Looking to add a 100hp NX set-up. Anyone running this combo? What kind of results? Is this combo semi-safe?

Well, there are plenty of people on this board with 400+rwhp NA and nitrous with great results.(Oh wait, I'm one of them! ) Most of us don't run the stock bottom ends. You should be OK as long as your combo doesn't lean out. The stock hypereutectic pistons are VERY sensitive to detonation. A high rpm leanout will teach you a lesson in fine art of motor rebuilding.

Take your car to a wideband-equipped dyno and make sure your car is properly fueling the fire.

Just run the car on the rich side to keep it safe and you should be fine as long as you have an upgraded ignition, proper plugs, and a window switch.

How is that setup worth 500 FWHP?

Well I would assume with a 20% valvetrain loss of power I should be close to 475-480 FWHP. Given a 100hp shot of N2O it should be easily over the magical 500 fwhp.

When I do it Ill have a place like SpeedInc install it (already got some prices). I'll have them dyno it as well in-house before they release it to me for thrashing.

The N2O is kind of a long term goal. Gotta get a aftermarket rearend first. Still running the stocker with upgraded gears and Posi unit right now. Who knows how long that will last under 400 RWHP.
