I just got off the phone with a shop and they were 100% sure that I cannot use a window/rmp switch on my Z because it has coil packs. Can someone shed some light on this? If it is not the truth, who and where make a pill kit that will work with my NOS 5177 kit.

I don't know where they are getting thier info from, but they are 100 percent wrong. I use a MSD window switch, the PN for it is 8956. There's 2 wires that have to be cut (red and blue) and it's ready to install.

 

yeah they are 100% wrong, i had one when i had my NOS kit and i have coil packs also

 

if they told u it cant be done.......then iwould even go there anymore........if they dont know if its possible or not.....how are they going to be able to do it

 

Thanks all, just as I thought. In my area, not many choices, but they are out. The only other place I know of is a ricer shop that I will not let touch my car. Gonna just find a couple of local f-bodiers that have done the install and get some help!
