Low system voltage = nitrous problems???

Well, here is my concern...I just got the nitrous hooked up and it seems that in the upper RPMs from 4-6k the car seems to chug with the nitrous engaged and it feels like the nitrous solenoid is turning on and off really fast (no black smoke though). Now, I ran data on my car and I have 12.7 volts all the way up to 6000 RPMs (this is without the nitrous hitting at all). I have a March underdrive pulley ONLY...the last alternator I had went out and it had an overdrive pulley on it, but now I run just the underdrive pulley and a standard alternator pulley. The voltage will drop just below 13.0 volts when the car is all the way warmed up and idling.

Now, my question is, when the nitrous hits, I watched the gauge and it drops a little bit since the solenoids draw so much current (looks like it is just below the 13v mark)...would it be possible that my alternator would not be able to keep up with the solenoids at all because of the current draw??

Also, I have seen a voltage booster for the LT1 cars...anybody ever tried this out??? Does anyone know where to buy an overdrive alternator pulley only??

Thanks

That is exactly why I bought the overdrive pulley when I got my underdrive drive crank pulley.
I bought ASP(Auto Specialty Products) pulleys and I believe they sell the overdrive alt pulley, I think it's 25 buck or so.

Yeah...I originally bought the overdrive pulley but I forgot that I had it on when my alternator went out, so I turned my core alternator in with the overdrive pulley on it...DOH!!
