Line length...

Does the length of the lines going from the N2O solenoid and the fuel solenoid to the nozle matter, or do i HAVE to use the lines that come with the kit? Also off hand does anyone know how long the usual line is?

Dont know if this matters but this is on a 95 LT-1.

Re: Line length...

I've read the shorter the line, the "harder" the hit.

Re: Line length...

That's about right, the shorter the line the harder the hit.

What you should also keep in mind is that a kit is usually "tuned" with the line lengths that come with the kit. Changing the lengths may require jetting changes.

The lines that come in the kit from solenoids to nozzle are 2 feet long..I have used longer lines in the past. But try not to if you dont have to.

Re: Line length...

Shorter the Lines the less time it takes the NO2 and fuel to get there. but you have to keep them eqaul distance or your Fuel and no2 with reach there at differnt times wich is BAD.

Re: Line length...

Actually it is beneficial to have different length lines. Fuel at 45psi moves a lot slower than nitrous at 1000psi. So it would be better to have a shorter fuel line that way your nitrous doesn't get there so far ahead of the fuel. It helps eliminate the lean spike at activation.

I have heard that before and you are right i just forgot. but how do you figure out what the optimum fuel vs nistrous line lenght is. sice the fuel pressure is gonna very a little from different types of cars.

GEN2, cross your fingers Carbed cars are even worse, you only have ~6psi of fuel to try and get there in time.
