Question Independent fuel system for n20?

A good friend and professional engine builder recomended installing a complete independent fuel system if i were to spray. I am really considering in using a TNT kit and i know everyone talks about haveing the fuel system to support it.

Well how about doing something like this: Using a vortech aftercooler ice box, plumb it, install an electric fuel pump, and put high octane race gas in the cell. When i want to use the n20 kick on the fuel pump and go. Whatcha think? Any recomendations?

You might do a search here, on that topic. We had quite a long, interesting discussion about separate fuel systems for nitrous, maybe a month ago?

Just got done reading through a bunch of threads and found out a few people are running a independent system.

Now there was mention of a Jazz fuel cell but i could not find any more details on it. Anyone?

Also i could not find a definate schematic of a stand alone system. Here is my take and correct me if i am wrong:

1.Fuel cell that has a return line and will gravity feed the pump
2. inline fuel pump, walboro 255 will work good
3. fuel pressure regulator, Aeromotive? model number?
4. Fuel line into the solenoid out of the regulator
5. Then what? How does the return line work?

Any other tips? Thank you so much

I blew up my v6 with a dry kit and don't want the same to happen to my lt1.

1.Fuel cell that has a return line and will gravity feed the pump

-Yes

2. inline fuel pump, walboro 255 will work good

-Uhm I guess.... I'd use a regular fuel pump personally. This partially depends on the amounts of nitrous used. Let me know what you're planning and I'll find something for ya. Also is this a Fogger system or just a regular ole TNT kit?

3. fuel pressure regulator, Aeromotive? model number?

-Aeromotive is nice. PArtially depends on the above, but #13301 works for about anything you need.

4. Fuel line into the solenoid out of the regulator

-Yes

5. Then what? How does the return line work?

-Return line goes from the Bypass in the regulator to the tank again.

Give us a hair more info and we'll see if we can point ya in the right direction.

Kurtis,

I will be running under 150 for now due to a stock shortblock. I plan to use the regular old tnt kit for now but the possibility to upgrade to a fogger is there along with a greater shot when i get my engine rebuilt down the road. Overkill is good, underkill is bad. I like to do things once I don't want to give this system even the slightest chance to go lean.

Whatever you could recomend for me as far as a fuel cell, pump, size of lines, and installation would be excellent!
