ideal comp ratio???

just wondering i am doing a new 355 short block what comp ratio would be best to spray around a 100 shot wet kit. it is going to have forged internals worked heads and comp cc305. it will backed by good tranny and 12 bolt. thanks thomas

I don't think it really matter with a shot that small. Nitrous works well either way. I would probably shoot for somewhere around 11:1 with a cam that small.

Well, that depends. If you are only planning occasional N20 uses then you can get away with an NA cam. You can go as high on static compression ratio as you want with nitrous. The cam should be more "nitrous" specific if you plan on spraying often, and large shots of 150+. I don't know your components but if all forged with good parts, and 4 bolt mains a 200-250 shot would be doable.

If your only planning on occasional nitrous use, go for a good NA cam. There are a million choices to choose from. You will have to decide how high you want to rev it. Cams like the CC306/GM847 need to be twisted pretty high to take full advantage, thats like 6800 or so. I also had a tough time trying to choose, but went with a custom cam from Bret Bauer. Also You can run a higher compression ratio, if you are going to run a larger camshaft.
