running a Big block in a 3rd gen

Forged rods
hyp pistons

running 10.5 to 1 compresion on pump gas

I run a 175 on a stock bottem end LT1 with a 116k on it. I would say it should handle a 200 shot with proper tuning.

yea but im runnign 10.5 to 1 on pump gas does that effect anything

LT1 = 10.5/1 CR I do run it on a 100 octane Just to be safe with the 175 shot but I have sprayed it a few times on pump gas with a 175 on the street. But I always use 94 octane on a 150 shot. But I do have alum heads. You will need to tune for it like I said before if you hear any pinging you will need to back off the timing or jet up the fuel etc.. there are a few diffrent ways to cure pining.
