Re: Help with n20 kit?

You could use either a wet or dry shot. The difference between the two is how fuel is added. In a wet kit the fuel is added via the fuel injectors (the dry nozzle is before your MAF, and the PCM adds the correct amount of fuel). On a wet kit the fuel is added via the nozzle itself. It has a jet that meters the amount of fuel entering the intake. Each way works, they both have their pluses and minuses. I suggest looking at the wet vs dry by thinking which direction you want to go on the vehicle. If you are thinking you might do a cam or heads down the road a wet kit might be a better choice. If you don't plan on doing much more modding then a dry kit might be better. The reasoning behind that are the fuel injectors. Since the fuel injectors add the fuel on a dry shot you might have to upgrade them down to road to support the power level that you're at. With a wet kit that isn't needed.

We have an entry level series of kits available. The Wet kits start at $399.99 and dry at $309.99. Here's a link for more info:

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Re: Help with n20 kit?

Installation is not bad at all. For a first time install figure around 4 - 6 hours. If you go with a wet kit I would highly recommend a bottle heater. The jetting on a wet kit is dependent on the bottle pressure. With out the bottle heater it will be just about impossible to keep the bottle at the correct psi. The purge kit is nice, but I don't consider them a necessity. I would put a window switch as set of colder plugs way in front of the purge kit.

Now how about actually using nitros do I just push a button does it have to be a certain rpm before I push it and how would I shut it off while racing and do your kits come with everything I need to race do you sell the colder plugs are they safe for the rest of the motor thank soo much sorry but I'm green..

Re: Help with n20 kit?

The kit does come with an arming switch and WOT switch. After the system is armed and you go full throttle the nitrous kit will be active. I highly suggest a RPM window switch. The RPM window switch is what will only allow the nitrous kit to be active during a pre set RPM band. The window switch does not come with the kit (as far as I know there isn't a kit that comes with one). With the arming switch and WOT switch the kit can only be active at full throttle while the system is armed.

The NGK TR6s are 1 step colder from stock, you'll be fine with them NA.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,
Matt

Thank you for your help one more thing when I see cars with nitros there is like a pressure release that comes out near the front windsheilds you can actually see it which is really cool is that the jet ports if not what are they and do they come with the kit also...

Re: Help with n20 kit?

Sounds like you are describing a purge. What it does is keep the supply of fresh liquid nitrous at the solenoid(s) for instant and repeatable nitrous injection. The purge kit bleeds accumulated nitrous vapor from the supply line. So it'll give you a stronger hit when the system is first activated. It's a add on to a nitrous kit.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Re: Help with n20 kit?

Honestly, you're probably gonna be looking at $1K for a "complete" system, so why waste all that money on a 50-100 shot? I sprayed a 75 shot one time and hardly felt it.It was like a breath-mint for the motor. You should really look at 100-150 shot IMO. The 150 shot turned me into the nitrous junkie I am today

So a 50 shot you won't really feel how is that so I should go with a 100 shot is that safe for my motor and what kind of kit is 100-150 shot should I look for wet or dry?

Re: Help with n20 kit?

A 100 to 150 shot will be fine. I suggest a fuel pump fort anuything over a 100. As for wet or dry. Either one will work. The wet systems seem to produce more torque and better performance gains. The drys are great for the chepaness and sipplicty on smaller shots. However as you go up higher on a dry shot or add a cam you may need to upgrade your fuel injectors and do some tunning. The wet system is the easiest way to bolt a 150hp on.
