Having a time determining which NX kit is for me...
Hi all...
Hope someone can help me determine which NX kit is for me...
First...the motor...
383 stroker...
CP forged pistons...
Crower forged rods...
Crower cam...
Eagle Forged Crank...
Bosch 42 injectors...
Ported LT1 heads...
58 mm tb...
I will purchase an MSD Digital 6 and a Fuel Pressure Regulator...
I think a WET Kit will work...
However... I will only use the spray every once and a while...
Don't think I'll be going through bottle too quickly...
I want to stay safe with the spray and I'll purchase all the safety equipment...purge, drop down, etc...
I don't know what shot to run...probably a 150 that can be adjusted futher...if my engine will take it with no problems...
Should I do a one stage or two stage...?
I'd like to be able to do a little more than a 150 from time to time but only if I can do it without damaging the engine...don't want to kill it...
anyone with part #s...system names...etc... would be greatly appreciated...
I'm still new to the whole N2O experience...
Thanks,
TIM

Your engine should do a 150 - 200 shot no problem. Just make sure you can push the fuel for it. The NX 20920 kit will work fine. Dont forget a window switch. The link in my sig has a window switch FAQ page you can go over.
Oh yeah, the every once and a while comment...... aint gonna happen! You can think of N20 as laughing crack! Once you start spraying, you'll get hooked. So just lean back, squeaze the shot off, and enjoy!

I'm with BillJ. You shouldn't have any problems with a 150-200 shot as long as you can provide enough fuel. If you don't already have an aftermarket intank fuel pump...that's going to be the first thing you need before spraying anything. I also agree with him on the NX 20920 kit, and don't forget the GEN X II upgrade for it. The bottle heater, pressure gauge, fuel pressure safety switch, and purge valve are all necessities. It would also be VERY wise to purchase a window switch. As long as everything is installed correctly and the proper precautions are taken....you should have absolutely NO problems. Good luck.
If I was in your shoes with a 383 and a forged shortblock I would be buying a fogger and hitting two 200 shots. If you get the regular wet kit I would stop at 175 or 200. You dont want any problems. But with the fogger kit is gives exactly the right amount of juice and fuel to each cylinder. I am not sure what you were looking to do as far as the nitrous kit but, you do have a tough shortblock. So I wouldn't be afraid of a 200 shot, some people do that on stock motors.
