Gemini MAF ahead of elbow?

Hi, here's the situation. I'm about to install a 383 LT4 stroker into my '95 Camaro. I was previously running a NX N2O setup with the nozzle in the rubber elbow just ahead of the TB. I wanted to change over to the NX Gemini MAF, but I'm wondering if there would be any negatives to having the nitrous/fuel mixture make that turn through the elbow before entering the engine. I know that turn is nothing compared to the mixture making the sharp turn down into the ports in the intake, but I wanted to know if anybody else has had good/bad experiences running this setup.

How much were you planning on spraying? One of my friends has that setup and is spraying a 150 shot and has no problems with it. Seeing that the spray bars are integrated into MAF ends, it makes for a pretty clean and slick setup.

I agree that you shouldn't see any issues with running the MAF kit on an LT1 Elbow.

I have been running the kit for years, but I have a Ram-Air style intake.

You'll be fine with that size shot. With a stroker and nitrous though, I would probably look into a higher flowing aftermarket fuel pump. I would look into some of the safety gear that is highlighted in one of the nitrous stickies if you haven't already done so.

I have the 255 Walbro in the tank, and the hot wire kit installed as well. As far as safety gear, for the tank all I can think of is the blow-off valve, and I have it vented to the outside of the car of course. I also have a 4-point cage in the car, but once it's back on the road I'm planning on having it converted to a 6-point with the swing-out sides, and then I'll do a regular harness also. This car has been a garage ornament since August of '03, when I partially melted the #1 piston, and broke the top two ring lands making a 12.90 pass at LACR (RIP). Best time before that was a 12.25 at 115.9, uncorrected. Been sidetracked for the past few years on other projects, first a '66 Mustang I'm restoring, then last year I bought my wife a Charger RT. The Mustang is coming along, the Charger now has CAI, Borla cat-back, Kooks LTs, Diablo, KWs, sways and a lot more crap. Now the wife wants heads and cam for her Charger. I said "the Camaro gets running first"!
I really appreciate all the help, I've been so "out of the loop" on the Camaro stuff I almost feel like I'm starting from scratch.

When safety equipment is spoken of in relation to a nitrous kit we're talking mostly of electrical safetys to keep your motor in one piece.
A window switch to make it only sprays during a certain rpm range.
A fuel pressure safety switch so that the system is shut down if the fuel presure drops.
A timing rertard box to pull timing while spraying to insure agaianst detonation.
A WOT activation switch so that spray can only occur at wide open throttle.

I have everything except the fuel pressure switch, which I'm planning on adding after the install. I'll probably just "T" into the line coming off the fuel rail for the fuel solenoid.
