FJO Prog controller on 96 t/a

ive finished installing a HSW kit on my car and have finished wiring my fjo controller and am hung up un getting the controller to read my rpm's.

i tapped off of the blue wire on the 'gray/clear' pcm harness for tps activation and it works great.

for the rpm pickup i went off of the white wire (TACH OUTPUT) on the 'red' pcm harness and i cannot get the rpm trigger to activate at all. i tried the /4 and /2 setting for the rpm and my controller never picked it up. am i on the wrong wire or is there something else that im unaware of? Any help is much appreciated.

nevermind, the splice i made wasnt piercing the jacket enough to contact the copper , that insulation is pretty effing hard!

this controller is awesome!
