Experience needed.

Nitro Daves plate kit, if it makes a difference. NA 353rwhp, on bottle, 468rwhp. The bottle psi was 925, and this equated to a 10 to 1 AF ratio. Was told to bump it up to 1050-1100psi and I'll still be safe on the AF ratio and see some more HP. Does this sound right? I'm out of time and need to pick the car up from the shop. Thanks for reading, Rick.

our kits are rated for 1050psi....you will be fine increasing the bottle pressure.

If it is still that rich you can run a smaller fuel jet.

I always found big changes in ET and MPH by going that last couple hundred PSI in the bottle. I usually run 8-900 for a test run and then heat the bottle up to 1050 and see 3-4mph difference. (This is with an NX kit rated at 1050)

OK, I found my last dyno pull sheet, and it's about 12.8 A/F NA. Had a little chat with the shop today and now better understand why it's no problem bumping up the psi. Not only was the A/F at 10/1, I didn't know the wideband doesn't go any lower than that. And if you look at the graph, it's easy to see that A/F went even lower. Now I feel safe with bringing the pressure up. Thanks guys, I know you already told me this. I'm just trying not to screw things up, the first time out.

Went to the track yesterday. It was very hot for Oct. and the first time I ever raced with a steady 20-30 mph headwind. My NA times where off by almost 2/10ths and a full 4mph. My first nitrous pass (one of only two) I hit the switch right after I launched, and had to let off for the 2-3 shift as I hit the rev limiter. The time was 11.44 @ 118.41mph.
What a kick in the pants when I flipped the switch. The second pass was a hair slower (backed off for the 2-3 shift) but cut a 1.561 60ft., A new PB. Thanks Ray, and the rest of you guys too.

Thanks Ray, I had a big smile on my face the first time I hit the Nitrous and knew then, that the kit will never be coming back off. No matter what happens or needs to be replaced with this new found power, the nitrous stays.

Rick,

Congrats on the new personal best. Sounds like a CPT trans is just around the corner. Seems like it does not like the new power as much as you do. With the right conditions high tens should not be a problem.

Your right. In fact I just sent Frank an e-mail about an hr. ago. I'm going to try and have a new trans in by spring.

I know Frank will take care of you, I have heard nothing but good things about him and his transmissions. If it is together for LTX are you going to go?
