Arrow Dynoed w/ my 233/242 114lsa cam...

Well.. Figured I'd see if this "nitrous grind" cam was worth the swap.. And I'm still not convinced.

N/A the car put down 361rwhp / 334rwtq . Running it a little fat now @ 12.5:1, but the A/F curve is perfect. This is down from my previous 380/360, w/ my 230/236 110LSA cam.

Popped in the 150hp jets and put down 492rwhp / 555rwtq .. Again the fuel curve looked good. A little on the fat side, but I'm okay with that.

N/A & 150hp jetting dyno

Then I decided to try out the 200hp jets.. 521rwhp / 579rwtq .. Curve ran fat again so I decided to try a tad bigger nitrous pill. Ran about a point leaner - but lost an average of 20rwhp and torque across the band, although power picked up to just over 510 @ 5800.. Pretty much calling it quits for trying to get any more out of the 4an line.. I need more N/A power.. Which will hopefully translate into more on bottle. Cuz even as it sits now, I'm not any better off w/ this cam vs my old one. Grrr..

Ah well.. Get to see how well she can stretch her legs on a 1/4mile next friday.

200 hp jetting dyno

Hopefully it's an improvment over my old 10.91, we'll see!

Oh.. Crappy.. Can wait till the following w/e for the Motorplex.. They're having the PSN races, and other GM makes are allowed to race this year.

Well since I'm about to be sporting the same cam as you, would you advise me to find something else? I've read a lot of your stuff and guess I can't find any real reasons for keeping it. I do plan on running a 200+ shot, possibly up to 300 eventually.

Heh.. And my old stock cam would drag your hotcammed car ... And it too made a ton of torque on bottle. A 100 shot gave me 380rwhp and 588rwtq uncapped. But all that torque was unusable since it was a big ol' spike and was down around 400 by 5000rpms or so.

RacerTim, I know someone that'll be selling the cam you're looking for very soon! I'll prolly go back w/ a "cookie cutter" cam. Either back w/ the CC306, or even the GM847. Prolly the latter of the two. I might be having ultra-bad luck with it ~ but there's no telling how much other people w/ the same or similar setup are running, as I think I'm the only one w/ this cam right now.
